Bio

Originally from Houston, TX. Real estate has always been a part of Brian’s life. His father, Michael, is a long-time appraiser, real estate Broker, and investor. This timeless passion for real estate is engraved in Brian, helping to make him one of Realty Austin’s top-performing agents, closing $350+ million in sales since 2001.

In 2001, Brian obtained his real estate license while attending The University of Texas at Austin. He quickly established strong relationships to become a top REALTOR in The University of Texas sales and investment market. After graduating from UT in 2004, Brian obtained his Broker’s License and established Copland Realty. Shortly thereafter, Brian merged with a few highly experienced real estate associates to form Premier Realty which was a full-service boutique brokerage that served Central Austin.

Brian joined Realty Austin in March 2012 to focus on growing his personal business. Since joining Realty Austin, Brian was continuously a Top Producer and is in the top 1.5% of agents and teams Nationwide. In November 2022, Brian joined eXp to take his business to another level by leveraging technology, innovation, and collaboration throughout eXp's global reach in 23 countries.

In 2021, Brian was named the #100 Agent in the Nation by Real Trends. Out of 650+ experienced REALTORS, he was named the company’s #1 Individual Top Producer in 2018, 2020, and 2021. He was also a member of Realty Austin’s Diamond Club since 2013 and a 2020 Austin Platinum Top 50 winner. In addition to being an expert in the residential market, Brian has also been involved in over 100+ residential and commercial construction projects. Brian cherishes spending time with his wife Brittany, their 7-year-old twins (Posey and Cal), 4-year-old (Teddy), and 1-year-old (Benny). He also enjoys attending UT sporting events and eating at local restaurants. He is actively involved with Foundation Communities, Habitat for Humanity, Young Adult Division of the Jewish Federation and beliefs strongly in giving back to the community. Brian is a member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce and Austin Board of Realtors® (ABOR).

  • We did not hesitate to reach out to him when we needed to find our new home in Lakeway. From the beginning, Brian, along with his assistant, Kathryn, listened to our wish list and our goals to find a house before the start of the school year. Brian and Kathryn helped us set up an account with Realty Austin to receive email listings and open house updates. From the first house, we went to see in Lake Pointe, to the house we bought in Lakeway, Brian was in constant communication and checking in with my husband and me about the listings we liked, setting up appointments, reaching out to listing agents, and joining us at open houses.   • Brian was referred to us by a friend who spoke well of him before we met. At our first meeting at the property, Brian suggested a marketing strategy that matched the property rather than just a list and seeing what the proposals are. The property is a unique tract that attracted a lot of solicitations the majority of which were not close to the value and potential of the property. The plan to purchase a tree and topo survey, prepare a feasibility study of what the City would allow, and obtain a Demo permit required an investment of time and money but resulted in a package that would be attractive to a targeted buyer and give that person the information needed for an informed decision. The result was multiple qualified offers over the listing price from which we chose a primary and backup contract. Brian has a great relationship with Independence Title and we closed on time within 25 days of the contract date. We were informed and aware of every step in the process and the result was better than we could ask for in price and effort. We would gladly refer Brian and his associate Kathryn to a friend or family member for future real estate projects.
